Laura Trucco


Born in Turin on 6 August 1963.

Since January 2018, she is Chief Audit Executive at INWIT S.p.A.

In April 2020 also appointed member of the Supervisory Body INWIT for Legislative Decree 231/2001.
She developed her professional career from the initial appointment as auditor till the managerial level in Telecom Italia where she joined the Internal Auditing division in 1989.

With a robust professional network developed at the Italian branch of the IIA-The Institute of Internal Auditors, she participates to the association life also as member of the Services Committee with the aim of developing position papers and training events on top professional areas. Main recent areas of collaboration were the role of IA in the ERM process, the use of Key Performance Indicators for the performance measurement of the IA departments and risk and control approach at the No Profit organizations.

She gained specific experience in the Audit Quality Assessment process leading with success several IA department quality assessment projects in conjunction with The IIA Quality Services assessment teams and becoming quality assessor as a volunteer for the Quality Services of the IIA-Institute of Internal Auditors.

After her experience in conducting and coordinating several audit projects in the Telecom Italia Group as manager in the Audit Department she has been in charge for the Methodology, Planning Process and Reporting activities at Group level, with responsibility also over the subsidiaries Audit functions (national and international).

In this role she was responsible for the definition of the methodology framework and general management systems for the assurance and consulting services, developed the quality assurance and improvement programs within the audit organization, defined and managed the training programs for the professional staff and ensured the periodical planning and reporting process to the Control and Governance Bodies at Group level.

She participated to the introduction of the Enterprise Risk Management process in Telecom Italia Group, to the definition of the 231 Organizational Model and to the development of GRC solutions.
She has been regular guest speaker at the Padua University bringing the day by day experience in the profession and at professional events.

Before joining the Telecom Italia Group, she worked in the Foreign and Securities Office at Banca Sella and general accounting area in a financial analysis company.

She has a degree in Economics and Business at the UniversitĂ  degli Studi of Turin, in 1987 and she has obtained the following professional qualifications: CIA-Certified Internal Auditor (1998), Assessor UNI EN ISO 9000 (1999), Certification in Control Self-Assessment (2005) and Quality Assurance Validator/Assessor (2014).
