INWIT confirmed in CDP Climate Change’s A List: a path of continuity towards Net Zero

For the second consecutive year, INWIT has joined the select group of global companies included in the CDP Climate Change “A List”, the most authoritative international environmental reporting system used by investors to assess companies’ climate strategies.

This confirmation recognises not only the quality of the company’s climate governance, but above all the consistency of its transformation towards the decarbonisation of its activities, a process built up over the years and based on measurable, transparent commitments that are integrated into the industrial model.

Achieving the highest score for CDP Climate Change for the second consecutive year confirms that sustainability at INWIT is an essential lever of our business, integrated into our industrial DNA.

commented Michelangelo Suigo, Director of External Relations, Communications and Sustainability at INWIT.

It is recognition of the consistency of our journey towards Net Zero and the ability of our digital and shared infrastructures to generate long-term value for customers, communities and stakeholders.

A PATH OF CONTINUITY AND CONCRETE RESULTS

Being included in the A List for 2025 is not an isolated achievement, but rather the latest milestone in a structured effort that INWIT has pursued in recent years to integrate sustainability into its governance and operating model, in line with its industrial strategy.

2024 marked a milestone with the publication of the first Climate Transition Plan, which sets out the goals and actions through which the company is reducing its emissions and contributing to decarbonisation in the digital infrastructure sector.

At the same time, INWIT has strengthened its organisational model towards the pursuit of sustainable success, integrating sustainability aspects into its corporate values and culture, obtaining certification for the following Management Systems:

  • ISO 50001 Energy
  • ISO 14001 Environment
  • ISO 45001 Health and Safety
  • ISO 37001 Anti-bribery

In addition to these, the company has been confirmed for inclusion in the MIB ESG and FTSE4Good indices, and has been ranked among the 500 most sustainable companies in the world by TIME magazine, a position it will retain in 2025.

DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURES AT THE SERVICE OF THE TRANSITION

Digital infrastructure is playing an increasingly central role in the energy transition process: more efficient networks enable reduced consumption, limited impact and innovative services that benefit citizens, businesses and local areas.

The shared infrastructure model adopted by INWIT generates efficiencies along the entire value chain: less duplication, lower land consumption, energy optimisation, and intelligent use of resources. This approach reconciles digital growth, competitiveness, and sustainability.

A LOOK INTO THE FUTURE

Being reconfirmed in CDP’s A List means that INWIT can consolidate its position among the leaders of the climate transition and strengthen its commitment to Net Zero.

A continuous journey that aims to create lasting value for customers, communities and the country.
