The INWIT Leadership Team met Pope Francesco at the general audience in Rome
Last Thursday, the INWIT Leadership Team had the honor to partecipate at the general audience with Pope Francesco in Rome. This significant meeting represented an important opportunity for our company to demonstrate the values that guide us also to the Holy Father.
Our General Director, Diego Galli, had the privilege of paying homage to the Pontiff with a symbolic object: the scale model of one of our telecommunications towers, an emblematic tribute to the value of digital and shared telecommunications infrastructures for the benefit of communities and territories, which contribute to ensure greater social inclusion also in the areas in digital divide.
The audience with Pope Francis aroused great emotion among the members of our team. The words of the Holy Father, always aimed at humility and solidarity, resonated deeply with the principles that animate our daily work. The joy and admiration for his message of hope and encouragement was palpable.
Participation in the event gave us the opportunity to reflect on how our efforts in the field of telecommunications can contribute to a broader common good, breaking down digital barriers and ensuring that every person, of every geographical location in our country, can have access to the resources and opportunities offered by modern connectivity.
