Michele Gamberini has been Chief Technology Officer of INWIT since April 2026.
He joined the INWIT Group in 2024 as CEO of Smart City Roma, the joint venture between INWIT and Roma Capitale dedicated to expanding 5G coverage across the city’s squares and metrorail network.
With over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, he has built an international career holding senior leadership roles in technology and network and IT innovation within the TIM Group. He has led strategic functions spanning planning, engineering, development and operation of both mobile and fixed networks, and has served as Chief Technology and Information Officer and Chief Innovation Officer at major international operators.
He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome.
