INWIT joins the Times ranking among the 500 most sustainable companies in the world. Eighth place among italian companies
Inclusion in the TIME ranking is a prestigious recognition that confirms the company’s commitment to a sustainable business model
INWIT has joined the list of the 500 most sustainable companies in the world compiled by the prestigious American global media brand TIME, together with Statista, a leading market research company specialising in corporate rankings. INWIT is ranked among the 500 World’s Most Sustainable Companies of 2024 in 166th place globally and 8th among the twenty Italian companies included in the ranking.
This important result confirms the Company’s commitment to a sustainable business integrated with Corporate Strategy across the Sustainability Plan focused on 3 main aeras: environmental, social, governance (ESG).
The constant and continuous commitment to virtuous and sustainable practices is the result of a corporate strategy designed to create a business model capable of combining economic, social and environmental value. In recent years INWIT has achieved significant results in various areas. The company has in fact obtained validation of the Net Zero objective for 2040 by SBTi, and certifications for environmental, health and safety and energy management systems, as well as gender equality certification. Furthermore, the company is committed to reducing the digital divide thanks to the implementation of the PNRR‘s 5G Italy Plan, which aims to bring digital infrastructures to 1,385 market failure areas.
The first pubblication of the Integrated Report combines the Non-Financial Declaration and the Annual Financial Report in a single document, this year marked the achievement of another important milestone, offering a complete vision of our commitment to sustainability.
The TIME and Statista rankings are the result of a rigorous selection process carried out by a sample of approximately 5,000 of the world’s largest and most influential companies. The companies were evaluated based on criteria such as ESG ratings, KPIs and transparency in reporting. This process led to the selection of the 500 most deserving companies, coming from over 30 countries, with a strong presence from the United States, Japan and the United Kingdom.
