INWIT: Michelangelo Suigo appointed new Head of the External Relations & Communication
Rome, 5 June 2020 – Michelangelo Suigo is the new Head of the External Relations & Communication of INWIT, the wireless telephony infrastructure company listed on the FTSE MIB.
Suigo will report directly to the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Giovanni Ferigo, and will be responsible for ensuring the company’s positioning and relations with regard to national and local institutions, think tanks and associations, sustainability activities, institutional communication with the media and online, branding policies, as well as sponsorships and events.
Michelangelo Suigo graduated in Business and Economics from “La Sapienza” University and has a Master’s degree in higher legislative studies from ISLE (Institute for Documentation and Legislative Studies). He was formerly with Leonardo S.p.A. where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Government Affairs.
From 1995 to 1999 he worked at the Senate of the Republic as an expert in legislative technique, dealing with telecommunications, radio and television broadcasting, industry, transport and public works.
He joined Vodafone Italia in December 1999 where he took on roles of increasing responsibility in the External Affairs area, ultimately assuming the role of Head of Governmental & Institutional Affairs, which he held until March 2019.
He is a journalist and professor of Lobbying and Public Affairs on the main master’s degrees in lobbying and business communication (including at the LUISS Business School, Sole 24 ORE Business School and Tor Vergata University).
