INWIT achieves A rating and receives the highest recognition from Climate Change

With an upgrade from A- to A, INWIT obtains the maximum score for its environmental protection performance in 2024 from CDP Climate Change, an international non-profit organization specialized in environmental reporting, moving to the “A” score from the previous one, “A-“.

INWIT stood out among the over 24,800 companies that signaled their commitment in terms of governance, impacts, risks and opportunities related to climate change, for strong governance of climate aspects and their full integration into business strategies. The progress achieved by the Company in the areas of “information risks and opportunities” and “objectives” is significant.

“The ‘A’ score of CDP Climate Change is a further demonstration of the validity of our sustainability plan and the effectiveness of our ‘intrinsically sustainable’ business model, based on digital and shared infrastructures, capable of combining industrial, economic, social and environmental efficiency,” declared Michelangelo Suigo, Director of External Relations, Communication and Sustainability of INWIT.

Among the actions introduced by INWIT in 2024 on the subject of sustainability is the publication of the first Climate Transition Plan that integrates and strengthens its climate strategy, with which the company further confirms its commitment towards a zero-emissions world.

INWIT’s main objective on the climate front is the Net Zero target for 2040, validated in January 2024 by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), which further stren
