INWIT awarded Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (iso 45001) certifications

Rome 19 March 2024 – INWIT, Italy’s leading tower operator, has been awarded the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System certifications.

As part of its sustainability strategy, INWIT has worked in recent years to strengthen its governance and management of non-financial aspects. This has included developing an Integrated Management System (IMS) to add these two additional pieces to the already certified Quality Management System. Having three systems in a single “procedure” makes it easier to manage the various processes better and to streamline internal operations. Special attention has been given to protecting workers from harm and possible occupational health and safety hazards and improving personnel management activities as a whole.

“The new certifications obtained are part of the process undertaken by INWIT to achieve an integrated management of non-financial aspects and show the progress made in our system employed for handling complex problems. Recognition of our focus on the health and safety of our people, with particular attention paid to the activities of our construction sites and the maintenance of our infrastructure, is an important stimulus for INWIT to improve in order to work in an increasingly simple, effective and inherently sustainable manner”, said Andrea Mondo, INWIT’s Director of Technology & Operation.
