INWIT enters the Euronext MIB® ESG index For the first time

Milan, 23 December 2024 – INWIT, one of Italy’s leading digital infrastructure companies, has entered, for the first time, the Borsa Italiana Euronext MIB® ESG index, the first ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) index dedicated to Italian blue-chips, designed to identify large listed Italian issuers with the best ESG practices.

This result reflects the progress achieved by INWIT in terms of sustainability. The company has in fact perfectly integrated sustainability into its strategy through a bold and well-structured Sustainability Plan, which in recent years has reached several key milestones. These include the validation of its Net Zero target for 2040 by the SBTi, certifications for its Environmental, Health and Safety, Energy, and Gender Equality Management Systems, as well as the “Italia 5G” Plan of the NRRP, which will contribute to reducing the digital divide.

The decision to include INWIT in the index – from today – was announced by Euronext following the quarterly review of the basket that forms the sustainability index dedicated to Italian blue-chips.
