INWIT brings “5G Ready” digital infrastructure in more than 10 italian universities
Cutting-edge university thanks to digital and innovatives tools
INWIT, the leading Italian tower operator, is improving the academic landscape with the introduction of advanced mobile network infrastructures. Over 10 Italian universities have benefited from infrastructures with INWIT’s DAS (Distributed Antenna System) technology, which also enables mobile connections in 5G.
This dedicated multi-operator coverage system for indoor locations offers students and university staff a stable, fast and high-performance connection, significantly improving the academic experience and preparing them more effectively for the world of work.
From Nord to South: all of Ilaty is innovating
The universities that have chosen this technological innovation are found in both the public and private sectors, with a greater concentration in the regions of Central and Southern Italy. Particularly, in Lombardy for the North, in Lazio and Marche for the Center, and in Sicily and Calabria for the South, universities are becoming increasingly digital thanks to improvment of DAS system.
These are the universities that have adopted this tecnology: Università Federico II of San Giovanni a Teduccio (Naples) and Luiss Guido Carli of Rome, with its offices in Viale Pola (historical seat of the University where the Rectorate, the General Management and the Presidency are present), Viale Romania (home of the faculties of Economics, Business & Management and Political Sciences), via Parenzo (faculty of Law ) and Villa Blanc (Luiss Business School).
These universities demonstrate how DAS infrastructures perfectly can integrate in anyone building and offer a quality service to professors and students. The system consists of a micro-antenna ready for 5G, minimally invasive from a visual point of view and easily integrated even into structures of architectural value.
An academic future innovative and more connected
The INWIT’s DAS system improve connectivity and support all acadeic community, streamlining bureaucratic processes and speeding up various administrative services. The network dedicated allow avanced apllication developed, also IoT projects, paving the way for new teaching methodologies and making Italian universities truly cutting-edge structures.
Lucio Golinelli, Commercial Director of INWIT, declared:
“We continue to work to enable digitalisation also within universities throughout Italy. Cutting-edge structures which, with our micro-antenna system, will be able to provide students and teaching staff with increasingly innovative and high-performance services”. Lucio Golinelli underlines INWIT’s commitment in supporting the digital evolution of Italian universities, helping to create an increasingly interconnected and advanced academic environment.
