In 2026, INWIT was once again awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal, confirming its position among the top 5% of companies assessed globally, with its score improving from 78 to 84/100.
EcoVadis is a globally accredited platform that assesses companies’ ESG performance across four areas: environment, ethics, labour and human rights, and sustainable procurement.
With regard to the environment, in addition to adopting an Integrated Quality, Environment, Energy, Health and Safety Policy, supported by dedicated ISO certifications, INWIT has defined a climate strategy based on decarbonisation targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), with a Net Zero target for 2040. The robustness of the climate journey undertaken is also recognised by CDP Climate Change, with a leadership score of “A”. With regard to labour practices and human rights, INWIT is committed to valuing and developing its people, with policies that promote diversity, inclusion, flexibility, safety and wellbeing. The renewed recognition of the UNI/PdR 125 gender equality certification is evidence of a fair and sustainable working environment. In terms of ethics, the Company has structured safeguards in place for anti-corruption and information security, including dedicated policies and the award of ISO 37001 certification in 2025.
INWIT is also strongly committed to promoting an increasingly sustainable supply chain. Indeed, INWIT has adopted a Supplier Code of Conduct, introduced sustainability-related rewarding criteria in tender assessments, and, since 2022, has invited its suppliers to complete ESG assessment questionnaires.
The result achieved confirms INWIT’s commitment to integrating sustainability into every aspect of its business strategy, contributing to an advanced, responsible business model focused on delivering value for customers.
