INWIT: maximum score in GRESB’s ESG rating confirmed
INWIT once again confirms the highest level in GRESB’s ESG rating, consolidating its commitment to a sustainable and transparent business model
INWIT, an Italian digital infrastructure company, has obtained for the second consecutive year the “A” level in the ESG rating of GRESB, the international agency specialized in evaluating the sustainability performance of infrastructure companies. This is the highest level assigned by GRESB, an achievement that underlines INWIT’s commitment to an intrinsically sustainable business model.
Over the last four years INWIT has recorded a significant growth in its ESG rating: starting from a “D” score in 2020, it reached the maximum score of “A” in 2023, a result confirmed again this year with an improvement of three points, reaching 87.
A path of growth in the dissemination of sustainability
The improvement in the score is linked to the recognition of the maximum score obtained in the general information, with particular reference to the implementation of sustainability. A key role in this path was played by INWIT’s first Integrated Report, published in 2024 and relating to 2023, which includes both the Annual Financial Report and the Non-Financial Statement.
This document represents a significant milestone in the transparency journey undertaken by INWIT, offering a complete and integrated vision of company performance and commitments made towards stakeholders.
Also this year, INWIT obtained the maximum score in the section dedicated to the disclosure of stakeholder engagement practices, an area that reflects the importance of dialogue and collaboration with the various interested parties.
The words of Michelangelo Suigo
Michelangelo Suigo, Director of External Relations, Communication and Sustainability INWIT, declared:
“Obtaining an “A” score in GRESB’s ESG rating for the second consecutive year confirms the validity of our intrinsically sustainable business model, in which sustainability represents a lever for the creation of long-term value for all stakeholders.”
GRESB: a reference for investors
The GRESB Infrastructure Public Disclosure Rating is a key tool for investors, allowing them to measure and compare the quality of sustainability disclosures by listed infrastructure companies. The assessment is based on indicators covering various aspects, including sustainability governance, implementation of ESG policies, operational performance and stakeholder engagement practices. This system also provides a resource hub to access ESG disclosure documents from rated companies, facilitating benchmarking of performance.
With this important result, INWIT continues to demonstrate its commitment to pursuing sustainability objectives, strengthening its role as a leader in the digital infrastructure sector and laying solid foundations for sustainable growth for the benefit of all stakeholders.
