INWIT is confirmed among the 200 most sustainable companies in Italy

The Il Sole 24 Ore-Statista ranking once again rewards INWIT’s sustainability. A reward that confirms our commitment to integrating ESG criteria into our business strategy.

For the second consecutive year, INWIT has been honored as one of Italy’s 200 most sustainable companies by Il Sole 24 Ore-Statista.

The business newspaper has included INWIT among the “Sustainability Leaders 2023“, the ranking that rewards the efforts of the 200 Italian companies most committed to integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG- Environmental, Social, Governance) criteria into all products and management processes carried out by Statista – a leading market research firm specialized in business rankings – for Il Sole 24 Ore. The survey, now in its third edition, involved more than 1,500 companies, which were evaluated based on their sustainability report and financial statements, considering their commitment to the three dimensions of environmental, social and economic responsibility

This recognition is the result of a constant and transversal commitment at all levels of our company. INWIT has been able to integrate sustainability into its business strategy and corporate culture, paying particular attention to innovation and change processes and to the constant adaptation to international best practices

Among the main initiatives and actions taken were the awarding of the PNRR Call for Proposals “Italy 5G Plan” and the recovery of 98% of waste produced in 2022. INWIT also purchased 100% of its electricity from renewable sources and obtained validation of its CO2 emission reduction target by the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi). It published the first TCFD Report, which incorporates the reporting framework defined by the Task Force on Climate related FInancial Disclosure (TCFD) based on the 11 Recommendations of the TCFD. All this and other achievements and the overall value created by INWIT in 2022 are compiled within our latest Integrated Report

The path toward the creation of an increasingly sustainable business model is consolidated and further strengthened through the Sustainability Plan 2023 – 2026, which, beginning with the concept of tower as a service, puts at the center of INWIT’s strategy the challenges of achieving gender equality, reducing the digital divide and setting a Net Zero climate goal for 2030

We will continue, our efforts, to create an increasingly responsible and innovative company, capable of creating value for its customers, its employees and society as a whole, combining economic growth with respect for the environment and people.
