Salvatore Lo Giudice

General Counsel

Salvatore has been general Counsel and Secretary of the Board of Directors of INWIT S.p.A. (FTSE MIB) since January 2019

During 2019-2020 he led the team of the business combination transaction with Vodafone Italia, which led to the establishment of the first infrastructure operator in Italy and second in Europe, with over 22 thousand towers.

Since January 2017, he has been the Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs of the Sole 24 ORE Group, where he led the team of the Business School Enhancement Transaction and the Capital Increase.

At the time, he was also Chairman of Il Sole 24 ORE USA, Director of the Business School S.p.A. and of TER – Tavolo Editori Radio.

In 2016 he was Director of Corporate and Legal Affairs at E.U.R. S.p.A. with responsibility for the areas of legal, human resources and organisation, purchasing and services, and corporate secretariat.

He has had considerable experience as the Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs of the Rai Group since 2010.

In 2014 he was also in charge of the legal team for the IPO of Rai Way, for the bond issue on listed markets, as well as member of the Board of Directors of Rai Way.

From 2012 to 2015 he was member of the Board of Directors of AUDITEL and member of the Institute of Advertising (IAP).

From 2011 to 2015 he was member of the Legal and Policy Committee Union and of the Legal and Public Affairs Assembly of EBU – European Broadcasting Union.

From 2008 to 2012 he was a member of the Board of Directors of INPGI, appointed by the Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri (Presidency of the Council of Ministers) and a member of the Commissione “Contributi e Vigilanza” (Contributions and Supervision Commission) of the same body.

From 2007 to 2012 he was Professor of Competition Law in the Media Sector at the University Vita-Salute San Raffaele, Milan.

From 2007 to 2008 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the company Autostrade Serenissima – Brescia Padova.

From 2003 to 2008 he worked at the Dipartimento per l’Informazione e l’Editoria (Department for Information and Publishing) and then at the Segreteria Generale della Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri (General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers).

From 1999 to 2003 he was a member of the Board of Directors of SEA – Aeroporti di Milano, of SACBO – Bergamo Civil Airport – and of Malpensa Logistica Europea.

Since 1998, he has held top positions in Sports Justice at the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), including as Vice President of the Disciplinary Commission (Serie A and B), of the Sports Court of Appeal, as well as a member of the Federal Tribunal and the Court of Appeal of the Italian Tennis Federation (FIT). He was also the legal head of the Italian Golf Federation (FIG).

A graduate in Law from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan, he has been a qualified lawyer since 1993 and a member of the higher courts since 2001. From 1995 to 2010 he practised law.

In 2024 he obtained the certificate ‘Value Creation for Owners and Directors’ Executive programme – INSEAD Business School, Fontainebleau.

In 2022 he obtained the post-graduate FT NED (Non-Executive Director) Diploma – Financial Times, London.
