He has been Chief Financial Officer of INWIT since April 2020.
Since 2000 he has been with Vodafone – a leading global telecommunications company – where he has held various senior roles in Italy and abroad.
From 2016 to 2020 he was Internal Audit Director of the London-based group, where he was in charge of the division at a global level, reporting directly to the Vodafone plc Board.
Between 2008 and 2016 he held the position of Chief Financial Officer in various subsidiaries of the Group: from 2013 to 2016 he was CFO of Vodafone United Kingdom; in 2012 he was CFO of Cable&Wireless worldwide following the acquisition by Vodafone; in 2008-2012 he was CFO of Vodafone Turkey and Vodafone Hungary.
Previously, he was Chief Controller of Vodafone Italy and Financial Controller of the South Europe and Africa region.
During his time with Vodafone, he has contributed to several projects involving the acquisition and integration of fixed network companies (including Cable&Wireless worldwide and Tele2 Italia), corporate turnaround and the transformation of the finance division.
He has served as a member of the Senior Leadership team of the Vodafone Group. He has been a Board member of various companies including Vodafone UK limited, Vodafone Spain SA, Cable&Wireless worldwide services Ltd and the tower company Cornerstone Telecommunications Infrastructure Ltd.
He began his career at Unilever, where he held various finance positions in Italy and abroad.
In 1992, he obtained an MBA from Rome’s La Sapienza University with full honours. He obtained a certification in Internal Audit from the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors in UK & Ireland and a post-graduate ‘Financial Times Non-Executive Director’ diploma.
